Beth is passionate about promoting social justice locally and across international borders. She holds a B.A. (Queens University) and an M.A. in International Development Studies from Dalhousie, where her research focused on participatory politics and the role of non-governmental organizations in political and social advocacy. She has worked with local organizations engaged in issues of gender equality, urban and rural poverty, and community mobilization in Canada, Guyana, China and Zambia. Beth returned to Edmonton in 2010 and spent a year working with a small consulting company providing evaluation, research and policy development support to the health and social services sectors. In January 2012 Beth joined Homeward Trust Edmonton as Coordinator of Research and Evaluation.
