Edmonton Social Research Directory
September 2012
The Edmonton Social Planning Council began publishing the Social Research Directory in the 1980s. This guide was created to provide information about library collections of use to social researchers. While the ESPC hoped to update the Directory biannually, publication halted in 1989. We believe that this is a valuable resource for the social research community. The Social Research Directory was resurrected in 2010 and has been updated and expanded in 2011.
Libraries and resource centres are included in this directory based on the following criteria:
- The library or resource centre collects information about the individuals and groups that make up society, their welfare, and their interactions.
- The public has access to the collection, even if material does not circulate or hours and service are limited.
- The collection is located in Edmonton.
This edition of the Edmonton Social Research Directory contains a record of the APIRG Resource Library.
