The Board of Directors consists of 10 to 15 members who are elected at the Annual General Meeting each spring.

Requirements and Term of Office

All Board members must be current members of the Edmonton Social Planning Council ($25 annual membership fee), and must be committed to supporting ESPC's mission to address and research social issues, inform public discussion, and influence social policy.

The standard term of office is two years. Board members are eligible to serve a maximum of two consecutive terms of office.

Board meetings are held monthly (excluding July and August). Board members also participate on a board committee and are involved in periodic strategic planning sessions.

Application

New applications to the Board of Directors are welcome at the start of each spring.  If you have any questions regarding the application process or about the Board, please call the ESPC office at 780.423.2031.
