The mission of United Way of the Alberta Capital Region is to...

Mobilize collective action to create pathways out of poverty. In achieving this mission, we have a clear vision for the future.

We envision a poverty-free community, where...

  • All children and youth achieve their full potential, complete high school and set a course toward a bright future
  • All individuals and families attain greater independence and financial stability, contributing to their personal success and the success of our economy
  • Everyone feels a meaningful connection to the community, enjoying a strong sense of well being and safety, for themselves and their families

United Way of the Alberta Capital Region provides funding to ESPC for research and information in addressing poverty issues and for providing capacity building support to the front line agencies.

Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) exists to help the people of Edmonton and area by encouraging philanthropy and funding charitable activities. Through contributions from donors, the Foundation assembles and administers permanent pools of capital so the returns can be perpetually reinvested in our community. The Foundation complements and supports other charitable agencies.

ECF provides funding to ESPC for the Research Assistant and the research and production of the annual Vital Signs report.

The City of Edmonton provides funding to ESPC through the Community Investment Operating grant.
ESPC receives funding from holding a casino. These funds are used to support programs and staff salaries.
